‘Gironde v Rhône’ - A tasting of varietals originating on the banks of these 2 greats Rivers.

Showcasing Bordeaux & Rhône varietals from around the globe. Neal Mountford from Pitt & Co will showcase 6 wines. The event will be held at  ‘Birdsong’, #1 Devondale Drive, Devonshire. It has a lovely covered al fresco area where we can mingle, taste & nibble.

Ordre Mondial tasting at Two Rock Wines Bermuda

“Collecting wine is a hobby most wine lovers take up, carefully hording away bottles for the perfect future occasion. The main question to ask when collecting wine for future drinking - does this bottle have what it takes to last?

The Ordre Mondial invites Chaîne members to dive into this topic with Two Rock owner, Mat MacDonald, leading us through an educational tasting centered around wine ageing. We will taste examples of Champagne, white and red wine, which both do and don’t exhibit qualities for ageing.

Due to space, we will limit this event to 20 people, with preference given to registered Ordre Mondial members. This event will also include a light food component”

Induction Wine Selection

This very special wine pairing will be held at the Fairmont Princess Hotel in the Juneland room from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. We can accept 15 guests only, Ordre Mondial members will have first choice, then if we still have room it will be accept Chaîne members.
 
On April 28th, Chef Ashe will prepare smaller plates of the same dishes that will be served at the induction dinner. Each wine merchant will have been given the menu and they will have submitted wines to pair every dish. Our Echanson will have pre-selected at least 2 wines per dish.
 
At the event,  you will taste the dishes and the wines and let us know which wine you think pairs each of the dishes best. Later our Echanson will compiled the results and taking your choices into consideration, will make the final decision. Our Echanson will also ask some of you to present the wines on May 13th at the induction dinner.
 
This is a very different and interesting tasting that I am sure you will enjoy thoroughly. This is an opportunity for you to be part of the decision making for our Induction dinner!
 
The details of the evening are as follows:
 
Cost: $125 pp for Ordre Mondial members (subsidised) and $150 for Chaîne members
Maximum of 15 guests with Ordre Mondial members first then if we if we still have room we will accept Chaîne members,

Please join us for a Wine Tasting event at the Tasting Room.

Venue: The Tasting Room, South Road, Smiths

Please join us to enjoy some fine wine, delectable hors d'œuvres, and delightful company. There will be 9-12 wines to taste along with Charcuterie and the opportunity to start your holiday season shopping!

The event is open to OMGD members, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs members and guests. Preference will be given to OMGD membership.
